OUR COMMITMENT TO OUR CLIENTS
Clients of Paul A. Hill & Co. receive an "ACTIVE ACCOUNTING"
service. We continually monitor changes to tax and accounting requirements
and other matters that will be of interest to clients and alert you, either
through client newsletters (issued at least twice a year after the Chancellor's
late Autumn pre-Budget report and then again after the Spring Budget statement)
or through a personal letter, if the matter is of more limited interest,
to the change. We are always pleased to discuss matters on an individual
basis and provide detailed advice tailored to your personal circumstances.
Our Spring 2008 newsletter is now available. A copy of
the newsletter was sent to clients and contacts of the firm in the week
commencing 24 March 2008, but if you have not received one, or would like
an "e"-copy, please contact Andrew Coates in the office - Andrew@paulahill.co.uk
and we will be pleased to send one. If you are not a client and would
like a copy of the newsletter, please give Paul Hill a call or email him
at Paul@paulahill.co.uk.
We have also very recently issued a "Client Alert" about the
"compensation" for the loss of the 10% income band and if/when
you may expect to receive this. If you do not have copy, but would like
one, please contact us as above.
Through a detailed scheduling program, we keep a check on all of the annual
"compliance" events that are falling due from time to time for every client.
This enables us to ensure we are up to date and can remind clients to
let us have the information we need to deal with your affairs in good
time. From our knowledge of other practitioners, we believe we are rare
in having such an integrated system to keep you up to date at all times.
We also use computer technology for the submission of company, personal, partnership and trust self-assessment tax return forms to H M Revenue & Customs (HMRC), which normally results in returns being processed much more accurately than those submitted manually as the "one-fingered" typed input by HMRC staff is not required. Confirmation of the receipt of a return is received almost immediately when using this method of submission and, where a repayment is expected, this is usually sent to a bank account within a few days of the return being submitted, rather than the several months that could elapse with manual submission. We also submit PAYE and Companies House documentation online, enabling you to take advantage of incentive payments and filing fee discounts.
We believe that we are in the forefront of the use of computer technology by accounting firms and that we are better placed than many other firms to make sure that you receive the best service from your accountants. In certain circumstances, we are able to arrange for our staff to have access to your computer, such that we can do the hard work on your business accounts for you, but you always have access to management reports.
We always confirm the work we will do for you by sending an engagement letter setting out our understanding of what you want us to do for you on an ongoing basis. If you would like less than our "full" services, we are always pleased to discuss your exact requirements with you and will set this out in the engagement letter.
The information on this website and in our client newsletters has beenprepared
for the general information of clients and contacts of Paul A. Hill &
Co only. No liability can be taken in respect of any action taken or not
taken as a result of relying on the information contained in either a
newsletter or this website alone. Only the general position can be stated
and there are often qualifying conditions or other criteria that affect
the way in which tax relief is given or other proposals will affect you
or your business. You should always take individual advice based on the
exact circumstances that you have before taking any form of action, or
indeed refraining from any action.
